Blue London Topaz crowning a Filigree Sterling Silver ring (sold out)

Elaborate Filigree band ring (handmade using the lost wax technique) in Sterling Silver crowned by a high quality faceted 7x5mm London Blue Topaz.
The Topaz is facetted and reflects the light from all directions.
The band is 0.9mm and is 1mm thick with a total height of 2.4cm.
I've been inspired by the portuguese technique of the Filigree, which brings beautiful ornaments into jewellery.
London Blue Topaz is a medium to dark grayish blue, sometimes described as "steely" or "inky."
Many London Blues have a slightly greenish tone when viewed from certain angles.

This precious stone has been used in jewellery for centuries, used in amulets of power and influence. Its rarity has meant that it has become associated with glory and success. Depending on the trace amounts of iron or chromium it contains, so differs the colour, where some qualities lose colour in sunlight, while in others the colour gets more intense.
Topaz is the birthstone of November.
