This is an elaborate band ring in Sterling Silver crowned by a large high quality London Blue Topaz in a rose cut.
I've been inspired by the portuguese technique of the Filigree, which brings beautiful ornaments like this lotus flower into fine jewellery.
The surface of the ring has been gently polished and slightly brushed giving it an organic look and feel.
The Lotus flower is a powerful symbol for spiritual awakening or enlightenment.
It has also fascinated people of all cultures for millennia due to its miraculous cleansing properties.
It grows in muddy grounds and it appears every morning clean and flawless, thus making it a symbol for purity.

The Topaz has been facetted and reflects the light beautifully.
London Blue Topaz is a medium to dark grayish blue, sometimes described as "steely" or "inky."
Many London Blues have a slightly greenish tone when viewed from certain angles as you can see on the pictures.

Topaz is a semi-precious stone that has been used in jewellery for centuries, used in amulets of power and influence.
Its rarity has meant that it has become associated with glory and success.
The ancient Greek believed, this gem possessed the power to increase strength.
Today Topaz is used in alternative healing to treat insomnia, it stimulates blood circulation and increases appetite.
Probably the most famous Topaz is a colourless, clear one that originally was long thought to be a Diamond.
It is a 1680-carat stone known as the 'Braganca Diamond' that is set in the Portuguese Crown Jewels.
Topaz is traditionally given on 4th, 19th and 23rd Wedding
Among the trade names for the various shades of blue are Sky Blue, Swiss Blue and London Blue as seen here.
The lightest of these shades is Sky Blue Topaz, which resembles a watery summer sky and the London Blue is a unique dark blue.

Topaz is the birthstone of November, together with the Citrine.

Measurements:
The oval Citrine in the centre is 11 mm long and 9 mm wide and the two faceted Citrines on the sides are 3.3 mm by 3.6 mm.

Ringsize:
I have made this ring in a UK size R (59 mm inner circumference and 18.8 mm inner diameter) that’s a US size 9 and this is immediately available.
If you require a different ring size, I need about a week to alter the ring. (will be £10 extra)
All my pieces are unique and when it comes to rings, you want to know the finger size, if it is for the ring finger, pointer, thumb, middle or the pinky, left or right or even for a toe.
In most cases rings can be adapted and resized.
I recommend to buy rings with wide shanks like this one just a touch larger, so I would class this ring rather between a UK size R and Q1/2 and a US size 8 3/4.

Use my ring size calculator (click here)  or contact me (click here). I'll be glad to help you.
