OPAL UNUSUAL | Sterling Silver ring with large Boulder Opal

This handcrafted Sterling Silver ring features a bright blue-green Australian boulder Opal.
It is almost fully smoothly polished into a cabochon shape.
As opposed to a doublet or triplet Opal, which is just a thin slice glued to a piece of coconut shell,
this Opal is really solid and full.
You can see this on a couple of the photos, where there is a small chipped area,
hardly visible to the naked eye.
The Opal came like this, but I just loved its incredible colour range.
I chose not to cut it smaller and to set it in its full size and beauty.

The shimmering colour range of this extraordinary precious stone is magnificent:
There are blues to purple shades and even neon green and pink, depending on the light.
In contrast to the polished surface of the Opal,
the surface of the ring is brushed, its bezel satin matte and 24K Gold plated.

Measurements:
The Opal is 21mm long and 8.8mm wide.
The ring shank goes from 7mm at the top to 4.6mm in width at the bottom
1.6mm to 1.4mm thickness.

Ring size:
This ring is a unique piece and it is a UK size R, US size 8 1/2,
which is an inner circumference of 58.5mm and an inner diameter of 18.8mm.
