The Mona Lisa (La Gioconda or La Joconde) by Leonardo Da Vinci. A 40x30 clear glass carved on reverse and frosted made in West Germany, set on a sterling silver case. This intaglio has a raised image featuring a very detailed image reverse. Handmade Pendant and chain, before the intaglio was set on the case I have inserted some shaded Emerald gems and some tiny white freshwater pearls inside. When it dangles you can see how the little gems move, it is a very playful piece. The sterling silver chain has at the end an emerald green silk bracelet, that can be put on, or be worn around your wrist.

I was inspired by "Mona Lisa Secrets Revealed," which features a new research by French engineer Pascal Cotte.

Cotte, founder of Lumiere Technology, scanned the painting with a 240-megapixel Multi-spectral Imaging Camera he invented, which uses 13 wavelengths from ultraviolet light to infrared. The resulting images peel away centuries of varnish and other alterations, shedding light on how the artist brought the painted figure to life and how she appeared to da Vinci and his contemporaries. (25 secrets of Mona Lisa revealed).

Born on April 15, 1452, in Vinci, Italy, Leonardo di ser Piero da Vinci was concerned with the laws of science and nature. At the age of 14, da Vinci began apprenticing with the artist Verrocchio. For six years, he learned a wide breadth of technical skills, including metalworking, leather arts, carpentry, drawing and sculpting. By the age of 20, he had qualified as a master artist in the Guild of Saint Luke and established his own workshop.
