You're looking at beautiful ear studs with round, smooth, faceted Lapis Lazuli spheres in the quality AAA.
They have been set in in 24 karat Gold plated Sterling Silver.
You can see tiny specks that look astonishingly similar to Gold.
They are made of pyrite that occur naturally in this gemstone.
The spheres have a diameter of 6mm.
In ancient times Lapis Lazuli was most highly regarded, because of its beautiful colour and the valuable ultramarine blue dye derived from it.
Its name comes from the Latin word 'lapis', meaning "stone," and the Persian word 'lazhuward', meaning "blue."
Lapis Lazuli deposits are formed by multiple minerals, mostly Lazurite, Sodalite, Calcite and Pyrite, and it is a rich medium to royal blue with gold flecks (pyrites).
