Beautiful blue faceted Sapphire ring embedded in sterling silver, with a brushed silvery finish.
Sapphire is the official Birthstone for the month of September.
Blue is by far the most popular colour for Sapphires, but this variety of corundum is found in a range of colours, yellow, green, colourless, white, pink orange, brown and purple.
Padparadscha is the name for a rare orange-pink variety of Sapphire having a higher value than the blue one.
After Diamond, Sapphire is the second hardest mineral known to man, on the Moh's scale a 9.
Sri Lanka produces the most Sapphires, although the finest cornflower blue comes from Kashmir.
There is something solid, understated and reassuring about the colours and shapes of Ruby and Sapphire. They help us focus upon lasting, worthwhile values.
Since the Middle Ages, Sapphire symbolised the tranquility of the heavens, bestowing peace and amiability upon the wearer.
This ring is a P½ , circumference in (mm) 56, European size 15½ and this is immediately available.
If you require a different ring size, I need about a week to alter the ring. (will be £10 extra)
All my pieces are unique and when it comes to rings, you want to know the finger size, if it is for the ring finger, pointer, thumb, middle or the pinky, left or right or even for a toe.
In most cases rings can be adapted and resized.
Use my ring size calculator (click here), or contact me (click here). I'll be glad to help you.
