- Unique No: 906
A uniquely handcrafted sterling silver ring, inspired by the ancient Egyptian God Horus. "Eye of Horus", has a round 3mm blue Sapphire, the entire construction has a brushed finish and the middle part is moveable, so that it will fit most of the fingers.
This symbol was used in jewellery made of gold and silver to ensure the safety and health of the bearer and provide wisdom and prosperity.
"Eye of Horus" is also known as "Eye of Ra", Horus was an ancient Egyptian sky god whose eyes were said to be the sun and the moon.
Sapphire is known as the gem of the heaven and is also called ‘The Divine Gem’, one of the reasons why the Egyptians used it often in their artwork and jewellery.
Shades range from dark blue to bright blue, but there are varieties of Sapphire that are golden to reddish orange and violets as well.
Its symbolic meanings: Faithfulness, sincerity and devotion, make it a popular choice on engagement rings.
The Sapphire is known to grant spiritual enlightenment, inner peace and courage, used to calm mental strain, strengthen bones and promote a healthy life.
The Sapphire is the Birthstone of the ones born in September.
