On my daily running journey with our beautiful golden retrievers, Pablo & April, I tend to gather different shapes and kinds of twigs and fruits.
It is amazing how through the lost cast process these organic 'vessels' can be captured and treasured forever - becoming a part of your daily life.
This ring is a direct reflection of what surround us, how beautiful our planet is and how much it has to offer.
I have used the lost wax technique to make this ring, it is an open triple ring with a solid sterling silver diamond shape nugget where a white greyish rough diamond sits entangled with 9ct gold wire.
This represents the fine artery that runs through the branch.
Twig - a small thin terminal branch of a woody plant.
The buds on the twig are an important diagnostic characteristic, as are shedding scars where the leaves have fallen away.
The color, texture, and patterning of the twig bark are also important, in addition to the thickness and nature of any medulla of the twig.
There are two types of twig, vegetative twigs and fruiting spurs.
Fruiting spurs are specialized twigs that generally branch off the sides of branches and leading twigs, and are stubby and slow-growing, with many annular ring markings from seasons past.
The age and rate of growth of a twig can be determined by counting the winter terminal bud scale scars, or annular ring marking, down the length of the twig.
This ring will be made to order for you, therefore will look slightly different, please see alternative constructions and diamond colours on the photos.
Due the fact that it is an open ring, it can be adjustable to your finger.
All my pieces are unique and when it comes to rings, you want to know the finger size, if it is for the ring finger, pointer, thumb, middle or the pinky, left or right or even for a toe.
In most cases rings can be adapted and resized. Please add your desired ringsize above.
