This is a solid Sterling Silver ring with an oval Blue Opal doublet.
The name Opal is derived from the Sanskrit word for 'stone’.
Opal is famed for its ability to diffract light.
Australian scientists only recently discovered opal’s unique properties in the 1960s after analysis with electron microscopes.
It was discovered that small spheres of silica gel caused interference, refraction and diffraction of light, resulting in opal's distinctive play of colour.
The Opal is the birthstone of the ones born in October as well as the Tourmaline.
Ringsize:
This ring is a UK size Q1/2, 58 mm (in circumference), European size an 18 (mm inner diameter), that’s a US size 8 1/4 and this is immediately available.
If you require a different ring size, I need about a week to alter the ring (will be £15 extra).
Please add your ring size above if required.
All my pieces are unique and when it comes to rings, you want to know the finger size, if it is for the ring finger, pointer, thumb, middle or the pinky, left or right or even for a toe.
In most cases rings can be adapted and resized.
