Cryptocrystalline | Shiny Silver Ring with a stately smooth Chrysoprase

A beautiful shiny green Chrysoprase Silver Ring.
The Chrysoprase is set as an oval Cabochon and measures 6mm by 8mm.
This Semi-precious stone is a cryptocrystalline variety of Chalcedony.

Derived from the Greek 'chrysos' (golden) and 'prason' (leek), chrysoprase is a type of chalcedony, that often forms in thick veins between matrix of light, sandy stone.
This gemstone has a characteristic colour, a dense and translucent apple green.
Used by both the Greeks and Romans as a decorative stone, this is the most valued variety of chalcedony.
The colour is derived by the presence of nickel.
Bohemia was tradionally the richest source, however since 1965 the best quality is resourced in Australia.

This ring is a size M, inner circumference 52mm, European 12, US size 6 and this is immediately available.
